Storm Drop Road Game to Sioux City 4-2

Sioux City, IA - The Tri-City Storm dropped just its eleventh game in regulation this season in a 4-2 road loss tonight at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA. The Storm will complete a six-game road stretch tomorrow night against the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders. Tri-City got goals from Shane Pinto and Chase McLane in tonight's loss. Following tomorrow's road game in Cedar Rapids, IA the Storm will return home to the Viaero Center for the final two games of the regular season. Puck drop for tomorrow's game against the RoughRiders is set for 7:05pm.

After a scoreless 1st period, Bobby Brink scored the game's opening goal for the Musketeers at the 1:54 mark of the 2nd period. Noah Tussey netted his 1st career USHL goal minutes later to increase the Sioux City lead to 2-0. Only eleven seconds after the Musketeers' 2nd goal of the night, Shane Pinto cut the Sioux City lead in half. Pinto's goal was his 28th of the year and was assisted by Ronnie Attard. With one-minute left to go in the 2nd period, Noah Tussey scored his 2nd career goal to give Sioux City a 3-1 advantage over the Storm.

Chase McLane scored the Storm's 2nd goal of the game with less than two minutes to play in the 3rd period to bring Tri-City back within one goal of the Musketeers' lead. McLane's goal was scored with an extra attacker on the ice as the team elected to lift goaltender Jake Barczewski in an attempt to tie the game. McLane's goal was assisted by Brendan Furry and Ronnie Attard. Following the goal to make the score 3-2, Tri-City again lifted Barczewski with hopes of finding another late goal. Marcus Kallionkieli buried his 28th goal of the season into the empty net at the 18:47 mark of the 3rd period to give the Musketeers a 4-2 win.

In the loss, Tri-City dropped to 44-11-3-1 on the season entering the year's final regular season road game tomorrow night in Cedar Rapids. In the only previous meeting this season, Tri-City defeated Cedar Rapids by a final score of 3-2 on December 1st at the Viaero Center.
