Sioux City, IA. - The Tri-City Storm will play its third consecutive game against the Sioux City Musketeers tonight at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City, IA. Last weekend, the Storm won the 2019 Anderson Cup by recording one point in the standings in a 4-3 overtime loss against the Musketeers on Friday night. On Saturday, the Storm bounced back with a 5-2 defeat of the Musketeers for a team record 44th regular season victory. Puck drop for tonight's game at the Tyson Events Center is set for 7:05pm. Tri-City (44-10-3-1) returns to Sioux City, IA tonight with four games remaining in the 2018-2019 regular season. With wins in all four of its remaining regular season games, this year's Storm team would eclipse the USHL record for most points in a single season (98) held by the 2011-2012 Green Bay Gamblers and the 2012-2013 Dubuque Fighting Saints. Four wins in the remaining four games would also give this year's Storm team a tie with the 1998-1999 Des Moines Buccaneers for the most regular season wins in USHL history (48). Tri-City has won nine of its last ten games and the team has also registered points in the standings in ten consecutive games. The Storm return home next weekend following tomorrow's road game in Cedar Rapids for the final two games of the regular season.

Sioux City (29-23-5-2) is fighting for the final playoff spot in this year's Clark Cup Playoffs and will play its final home game of the regular season tonight against the Storm. The Musketeers are currently five points ahead of the Omaha Lancers for the 6th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference. Sioux City has won seven of its last ten games, including an overtime win over the Storm on Friday. Sioux City's "magic number" to clinch a spot in the 2019 Clark Cup Playoffs has dropped to four points. The Musketeers can clinch a playoff spot tonight on home ice with a win over Tri-City and an Omaha regulation loss on the road to Des Moines.
