"It was an exciting day for our organization to add what we think its high-end talent that is going to fit into our culture here in Tri-City. I thought our scouting staff and coaching staff did a tremendous job of being prepared, being organized, having a plan, and executing our plan." - President of Hockey Operations/Head Coach Anthony Noreen

"Every draft is a culmination of time and energy put forth by our staff and scouts, and we are thrilled with the talent we were able to acquire. Prior to tonight's draft, we chose to sacrifice our 1st and 2nd Round picks to sign both Andrew Strathmann and Tanner Adams to tender agreements for next season. We believe they will have an immediate impact on next year's team. We acquired our number one forward on the board in Cam Briere, additional top-six caliber forwards, and two "homerun" defenseman. We traded three times to move up in the draft order and we would like to thank our trade partners Chicago and Waterloo for helping us accomplish that. We look forward to pumping more high-end caliber talent into the organization in tomorrow's draft." General Manager Jason Koehler
