Metairie, LA - Jarrod Dyson scored the winning run with two outs in the ninth inning on a wild pitch as Omaha upended New Orleans, 5-4, Wednesday afternoon to finish off a three-game set at Zephyr Field. The Storm Chasers took the last two games to improve to 48-39 and temporarily increase their lead over Memphis to two games in the American Conference North Division.

Dyson singled with two outs in the ninth, stole second, stole third and then scored on a Frank Mata offering that hit in the dirt and skipped past catcher Gregg Clime to move the visitors in front, 5-4. Jesse Chavez then worked a scoreless bottom of the frame to register his 10th save of the season.

A bases loaded walk to Dyson and consecutive sacrifice flies by Johnny Giavotell and David Lough in the third staked the Storm Chasers to a 3-0 lead. Chris Aguila's run-scoring ground out in the fourth got the hosts on the board.

The game was delayed in the top of the sixth for 41 minutes because of rain and when play resumed, Iriving Falu greeted New Orleans starter Elih Villanueva with a two-out RBI single to chase home Lough to push the margin back to three.

Omaha starter Mike Montgomery allowed a run on five hits while striking out five but did not return after the rain delay. Robinson Tejeda worked a perfect sixth inning but lost control in the seventh. The veteran right-hander issued a walk and hit three batters which led to a Ryan Klosterman sacrifice fly and an RBI hit by Tim Torres before he gave way to Everett Teaford, who walked Jesus Merchan to force in the tying run.

Teaford was credited with the win after tossing 1 1/3 scoreless innings.

The Storm Chasers open a four-game series in Oklahoma City Thursday night with right-hander Sean O'Sullivan making the start against RedHawks right-hander Brad Hennessey. Coverage of the game gets underway at 6:45 p.m. and can be heard locally on KOIL AM 1180 and online at omahastormchasers.com.
