Jarrod Dyson hit a two-out single in the top of the ninth, stole second and third, and scored the go-ahead run on a wild pitch as the Omaha Storm Chasers beat the New Orleans Zephyrs 5-4 on Wednesday afternoon.

Omaha took two out of three games in the series, with all three games decided by one run.

The Storm Chasers scored three runs in the third inning on a bases-loaded walk and two sacrifice flies. The Z's got one run back in the fourth when Vinny Rottino led off with a double and scored on a ground out by Chris Aguila.

Rain interrupted a sixth-inning rally by Omaha, delaying the game by 41 minutes. When play resumed, Z's starter Elih Villanueva remained in the game and allowed an RBI single to Irving Falu, pushing the Omaha lead to 4-1.

New Orleans tied the game in the seventh, batting around despite collecting just one hit. Omaha reliever Robinson Tejada issued three walks and hit three batters, and after Everett Teaford took over with the lead narrowed to 4-3, Teaford walked Tim Torres with the bases loaded to tie the score.

After the Storm Chasers grabbed the lead in the top of the ninth, Jorge Padilla led off the bottom of the inning with a single to right. Ryan Klosterman laid down a sacrifice bunt to move the runner over, but Omaha first baseman Clint Robinson threw behind the runner at second, catching Padilla too far off the bag to record the double play. Gregg Glime then popped out, ending the game.

Teaford (3-1) was credited with the win, pitching 1 1/3 innings of relief. Jesse Chavez pitched the ninth inning to pick up his 10th save.

Frank Mata (1-6) was charged with the loss in one inning of work.

The Zephyrs open a four-game series with the Iowa Cubs on Thursday at 7:00 p.m. Tom Koehler (5-6, 5.24) gets the start for New Orleans, while Robert Coello (4-5, 6.46) takes the mound for Iowa.
