RedHawks Try for Sweep of Iowa-- The Oklahoma City RedHawks finish a three-game series against the Iowa Cubs tonight at 7:05 p.m. at RedHawks Field at Bricktown...Tonight's game is the third of 16 meetings this season with the Iowa Cubs, with the RedHawks leading the season series 2-0...Last night's win secured the fifth series win of 2011 for OKC...The RedHawks go for their second series sweep of 2011, as OKC swept Nashville in a four-game series May 2 through 5...The RedHawks will return to Iowa July 14-17 in the series following the All-Star break...The RedHawks enter today 14.5 games behind first place Round Rock in the American Southern Division...Iowa is third place in the American Northern Division, 6.0 games behind first place Omaha...

Tonight's Probable Pitchers-- RedHawks LH Andy Van Hekken (23G, 7GS, 2-4, 3.47) makes his eighth consecutive start tonight...Last time out, Van Hekken took a losing decision at Memphis on July 1, giving up five runs and three hits, including two home runs, ending a string of three consecutive outings of 7.0 innings...Van Hekken was the Astros Triple-A Pitcher of the Month for May, posting an 0-1 record and 0.98 ERA in 11 appearances...Van Hekken jumped into the starting rotation when Jordan Lyles was promoted to the Houston Astros...Iowa starter Nick Struck makes his first Triple-A appearance tonight, after spending time in Class A-Advanced Daytona (10GS, 6-2, 3.42) and Double-A Tennessee (6GS, 1-1, 2.31) during 2011...

Last Game: July 5- Oklahoma City 7, Iowa 6-- Robinson Cancel knocked in three runs, including the game-winning RBI single in the ninth inning, leading the Oklahoma City RedHawks to a 7-6 win over the Iowa Cubs before 5,741 Tuesday night at RedHawks Field at Bricktown...Sammy Gervacio (1-0) dealt two perfect relief innings for the win while Justin Berg (3-1) allowed two runs, one earned, in one inning-plus for the losing decision...After trailing 6-4 after six innings, the RedHawks scored single runs in the seventh, eighth and ninth innings for the comeback win...Nelson Figueroa allowed six runs, five earned, on 12 hits over 5.2 innings and did not factor in the decision...Iowa starter Alberto Cabrera allowed four runs, three earned, on six hits in 5.2 innings...RedHawks relievers Mickey Storey and Sammy Gervacio combined for three and one-thirds perfect relief innings....

Bullpen Scoreless Streak-- Last night, Mickey Storey and Sammy Gervacio delivered 3.1 perfect relief innings, giving OKC the chance for a come from behind win...With last night's effort, RedHawks relievers have delivered 10.2 consecutive scoreless innings dating back to July 2 at Memphis...

Scoring Position Struggle-- After a 1x6 mark in the series opener, the RedHawks were 6x16 with runners in scoring position in last night's win, turning around a troubling trend in the last two series...In the last series at Memphis, Oklahoma City was 2x26 with runners in socring position....In the previous four-game series at Round Rock, the RedHawks were 5x46 (.109) with runners in scoring position...
