Storm Announces Broadcast Partner and Talent

SEATTLE, Thursday, March 6, 2008 - The Seattle Storm announced today that they have extended their agreement with the team's radio broadcast partner for the 2008 WNBA season. Sandusky Radio's KKNW 1150 AM will air all 34 regular-season games and one preseason game when the Storm host the Indiana Fever on Saturday, May 10 at 7 p.m. at KeyArena. The regular season opens Saturday, May 17. Terms of the deal are undisclosed.
"We are excited to continue our relationship between KKNW 1150 AM and the Storm," said Seattle Storm Chief Executive Officer Karen Bryant. "We are proud to partner with Sandusky Radio and give our ever-expanding fan base the chance to hear Storm basketball."
KKNW 1150 AM, an alternative talk station, is also home to University of Washington's Women's Basketball and the Western Hockey League's Seattle Thunderbirds.
This season the broadcast team will consist of Seattle radio veteran Dick Fain with the play-by-play duties and analysis from Adia Barnes, former Storm forward and member of the 2004 WNBA Championship team. Fain is no stranger to the Storm and has served in the capacity of sideline reporter, play-by-play announcer and color analyst. He has spent 11 years at Sportsradio 950 KJR, the past eight as sports director and host. Barnes will tip-off her second season with the Storm broadcast team after having played for the organization from 2002-04. Her broadcast background includes being a television analyst for NBA Entertainment during the 2006 FIBA Women's World Basketball Championship in Brazil.
