
Storm Announce Multiple Transactions Ahead of 2020 USHL Phase II Draft

Kearney, NE. - The Tri-City Storm has announced multiple transactions ahead of the 2020 USHL Phase II Draft. Including the pre-Phase I draft transactions announced yesterday, and the two trades made during the Phase I Draft, the Storm has now completed six separate transactions involving six players, twelve draft picks, and future considerations. The Storm has acquired the 31st overall draft selection the 3rd Round of the 2020 USHL Phase II Draft in exchange for forward Asa Kinnear. Additionally, Tri-City has completed a transaction with the Sioux City Musketeers to acquire the 2nd overall pick in the 1st Round of the 2020 Phase II Draft in exchange for the 3rd overall pick in the 1st Round of the 2020 Phase II Draft and affiliate list forward Luke Buss.
Asa Kinnear, 19, of Anchorage, Alaska was drafted 32nd overall in the 2nd Round of the 2018 USHL Phase II Draft by the Storm and appeared in eighty-two games for the organization during the 2018-2019 & 2019-2020 seasons. Kinnear was a member of the Storm's 2018-2019 Anderson Cup Championship team. In twenty-one games played last season, Kinnear recorded three assists. He scored five goals and recorded eight assists in sixty-one games played in the 2018-2019 season. Kinnear previously announced a commitment to play college hockey at St. Cloud State University.
