Storm Announce 2006 Ticket Packages

SEATTLE - The Seattle Storm today announced the sale of two ticket-package options for the 2006 WNBA season, the team's seventh year in the league. Storm ticket packages will go on sale Monday, Feb. 13 at 10 a.m.

The Storm, who will play 17 regular-season games at KeyArena this summer, are offering a six-game "All-Star Package" that features marquee matchups against the 2005 WNBA Champion Sacramento Monarchs, the two-time Eastern Conference Champion Connecticut Sun and the two-time WNBA Champion Los Angeles Sparks.

The 10-game "Weekend Package" includes 10 great weekend games against opponents such as Lisa Leslie and her Sparks, Tamika Catchings and the Indiana Fever, Becky Hammon and the New York Liberty and Diana Taurasi and the Phoenix Mercury.

Both ticket packages offer a discount off of single-game ticket prices as well as playoff seating priority before the general public.

"A season ticket is the best value for Storm fans starting at only $180 for the entire 2006 season," said Storm Chief Operating Officer Karen Bryant. "We are also pleased to provide Storm fans with smaller ticket packages to meet their needs."

The Storm will open their 2006 season against Western Conference rival Los Angeles at KeyArena on Sunday, May 21 at 6 p.m. The following Tuesday, May 23, Seattle will host the Houston Comets at 8 p.m. on ESPN2.

The Seattle Sonics & Storm organization manages the Puget Sound region's professional basketball franchises - the NBA's Seattle SuperSonics and the WNBA's Seattle Storm.
