Storm Adds Goaltender Eric Dop from NAHL

Kearney, Neb. - The Tri-City Storm has acquired goaltender Eric Dop from Minot of the NAHL, Head Coach and General Manager Bill Muckalt announced Monday.
Dop, 18, played in five games this season for Minot, accumulating a 3-2-0-0 record, a 1.81 goals against average, a .945 save percentage and a shutout.
Committed the Bowling Green State University, the native of Lewis Center, Ohio starred for the Ohio Jr. Blue Jackets in 2015-16. In 18 games, Dop had the best goals against average (1.47) and save percentage (.952) in the T1EHL. Last season's leading Storm scorer Carson Meyer, now a freshman at Miami University, also played for the Jr. Blue Jackets.
Standing 6-foot, 165 pounds, Dop was picked in the 6th round, 90th overall, of the 2016 Phase II USHL Draft by Sioux Falls.
Tri-City has also announced goaltender David Tomeo has been transferred to the Northeast Generals of the NAHL and defenseman Carson Vance has been moved to the Sioux City Musketeers off of waivers.
The Storm travels to Fargo this Friday, October 28 for a weekend set against the Force. Both games begin at 7:05 p.m. After matching the Force on Friday and Saturday, the Storm returns home on Friday, November 4 for Social Media Night, presented by the Nebraska Lottery, against the Omaha Lancers.
Friday's game vs. Omaha is a $5 Kids Friday; all kids 12 and under receive a voucher for a free soft taco and soft drink at Kearney Taco Bell.
