The United States Hockey League announced the CCM Forward, Defenseman and Goaltender of the Week for Week 5 of the 2016-17 season. Arizona State University commits Johnny Walker and Jaxon Castor, as well as University of Notre Dame commit Matt Hellickson, earned their first career weekly honors. Forward: Johnny Walker - Chicago Steel 3 GP: 3 goals, 1 assist, +3 rating

Walker and the Steel traveled early in the week for back-to-back away games both Wednesday and Friday, where he extended his goal scoring streak to five games with two goals and an assist. The Arizona State University commit added one more goal on the weekend Saturday night to extend his streak to a career-best six games. Walker leads Chicago in goals scored and is second in team scoring. His seven goals rank him first in the USHL. The Phoenix, AZ native has scored in seven of his nine games, including one game-winning tally. The six-game streak is also the longest point streak of Walker's junior hockey career. The Chicago Steel selected Walker in the 2016 USHL Phase II Draft in the 1^st round, 11^th overall. Walker has previously played for the Topeka Roadrunners (NAHL), Minot Minotauros (NAHL) and Culver Academy (USHS).

Defenseman: Matt Hellickson - Sioux City Musketeers 2 GP: 1 goal, 1 assist, +1 rating

Hellickson scored a goal, his first career USHL game-winning goal, and added an assist on the weekend. The University of Notre Dame commit is second in team scoring, and leads all Musketeers defensemen with seven points. Those seven points rank Hellickson second in USHL scoring among defensemen, and his +12 rating leads the USHL. The St. Louis Park, MN native was named to the NHL Central Scouting Preliminary List earlier this month. Hellickson was selected by Sioux City in the USHL Phase II Draft 1^st round, 1^st overall. Hellickson previously played for Team USA (USHL) and Rogers High (USHS).

Goaltender: Jaxon Castor - Dubuque Fighting Saints 2-0-0-0, 0.50 GAA, .976 sv%

Castor recorded a shutout Friday night, the first of this season and second of his USHL career. He would then follow up the perfect performance with another stellar start, stopping 22 of 23 shots to help the Fighting Saints sweep the weekend. Castor had a shutout streak that lasted 118:11 minutes over three games. The Phoenix, AZ native is committed to Arizona State University and is in his second season with the Fighting Saints. Castor's 2.13 GAA ranks in the USHL top-10, while his minutes (479) and saves (177) rank third and sixth, respectively. Dubuque selected Castor in the 2015 USHL Phase II Draft in the 2^nd round, 28^th overall from the Phoenix Jr. Coyotes (T1EHL).

Headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, the USHL celebrates its 15th season as the nation's only Tier I junior hockey league in 2016-17. 30 or more players from the USHL have been selected in four consecutive NHL Drafts, and more than 400 players on team rosters last season committed to NCAA Division I schools, further establishing the USHL as the world's foremost producer of junior hockey talent.
