
Media Advisory Krygier Named to Team USA for World Hockey Challenge

Lincoln, Neb. - Stars defenseman Christian Krygier was named to Team USA for the 2016 World U17 Hockey Challenge to be played from Oct. 27 - Nov. 5 in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario.
The eight-team tournament will feature three Canadian teams and one from the United States, Czech Republic, Finland, Russia and Sweden.
"It's an honor to have the chance to represent Team USA," Krygier said. "It's always special to play with some of the best players in the country."
Krygier previously represented the United States at the 2016 U17 Five Nations Tournament and at the 2016 Youth Olympic Games. The 6'1" 175 pound defenseman has nine points in 10 games for the Red, White and Blue.
"We're excited to have Christian with us for this tournament," Team USA coach Danton Cole said. "He's a great player with proven success on the international level and he's had a great start to this USHL season."
Krygier has played nine games for the Stars this season. The 2000 birth year is in his first USHL season.
