
Storm Acquire Sisca from IceDogs

Guelph Storm News Release
(GUELPH) The Guelph Storm announced that they have acquired forward Matthew Sisca from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for Dylan Wood and a 2nd round pick in the 2010 OHL Priority Selection.
Sisca was drafted by the then Mississauga IceDogs in the 8th round, 143rd overall, in 2006.He recorded 11 points as a rookie in 2007-08. The Woodbridge native had a breakout year last year recording 54 points, 21 goals and 33 assists in 66 games. Only 5 players that recorded points in 2007-08 had greater point increases in 2008-09 than Sisca's 43 point improvement including the Storm's Matt Kennedy (52 pt increase) and Peter Holland (44 pt increase). Last post season, Sisca led Niagara with 7 goals in 12 playoff games.
The 18 year old will join the rest of the Storm at the Sleeman Centre for training camp beginning August 26th.
