
Storm Acquire Maione from IceDogs

Guelph Storm News Release
(GUELPH) The Guelph Storm announced that they have acquired defenceman Mathew Maione from the Niagara IceDogs in exchange for a 10th round pick in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection.
Maione was drafted by the then Mississauga IceDogs in the 12th round, 243rd overall, in 2006. Last year he recorded 23 points in 53 games on the Niagara blueline. The Toronto native was the team's 2008-09 Roger Neilson Memorial Award nominee as top university student.
The 19 year old will open the season with the rest of the Storm at the Sleeman Centre for the home opener against the Saginaw Spirit on Friday, September 18th.
