GREAT FALLS, Mont. - The Great Falls Voyagers got six scoreless innings from starter Dane Stone, and knocked off the Ogden Raptors 4-1 Thursday night at Centene Stadium.

Stone (2-0) turned in his third straight quality start for Great Falls (14-10), surrendering just two hits while striking out seven in his six scoreless frames of work. The lone trouble spot for the righty was in the first, when the Raptors (8-16) put runners on the corners with one out. Stone buckled down and struck out the next two to keep Ogden off the board.

Great Falls was kept at bay by Raptor starter Bernardo Reyes (0-4) until the fourth, when they got help from the Ogden defense. With two outs, shortstop Kelvin Ramos made an error which allowed Patrick Palmeiro to score the contest's first run.

The Voyagers added another in the fifth when Zach Fisher came up with a two-out single, giving Fisher his 13th RBI of the year which ties him for the team lead.

The lone Ogden run of the night came in the seventh when Melvin Santana tripled to bring in Ivan Vela. Santana was at third with nobody out, and Matt Cooper was able to keep him there, striking out the next two before inducing an inning-ending popup.

Great Falls answered in the bottom of the frame with two insurance runs. Mason Robbins drove in a run with a triple, then came around to score on a double by Jake Peter. Peter's double extended the second baseman's hitting streak to 11 games, the longest by a Voyager this year.

After Cooper worked a scoreless eighth, Aaron Bummer came on and worked a perfect ninth to earn his first professional save.

The Voyagers and Raptors wrap-up this series Friday night at Centene Stadium. Great Falls will send righty Brandon Brennan (0-1, 4.30) to the mound, while Ogden will counter with a righty of their own, Jeff Brigham (0-0, 0.00). First pitch is set for 7:00 and coverage will begin at 6:45 on 1400 AM KXGF and gfvoyagers.com.
