STONE CRABS SILENCE MARAUDERS 4-0

The Stone Crabs silenced the Marauders Tuesday, using three pitchers to spin a 3-hit shutout in a 4-0 win. Now 35-17 at home, Charlotte LHP Brendan McKay went five scoreless innings before handing the baton to Phoenix Sanders, who spun three hitless innings while fanning five in his High-A debut.

"STRO"-LLING TO FIRST

Stone Crabs utility man Miles Mastrobuoni is putting together one of the most consistent, under-the-radar seasons of any Charlotte player. The Nevada product currently leads the league in on-base percentage (.396), pacing the team in walks (43). He is four walks from placing top-10 in franchise history and is seventh in the circuit in hitting (.299). He has played six positions and occupied eight spots in the batting order.

ABOVE THE FRAY

Stone Crabs outfielder Jake Fraley has done nothing but rake since coming off the DL on June 7. Since July 5, Fraley is batting .426/.463/.689 with 11 extra-base hits, 18 RBI, five stolen bases and five walks in 19 games. For the season, he was batting .442 with runners in scoring position.

CLUTCH CRABS
