KISSIMMEE, Fla. - The Florida Fire Frogs tied a team record by lifting off four home runs on Wednesday afternoon, but suffered a 16-10 defeat at the hands of the Palm Beach Cardinals to close out the three-game set at Osceola County Stadium.

Huascar Ynoa (0-2) worked a perfect first, but allowed the first nine batters to reach base to start the second, with seven runs crossing the plate in the process. Dan Lietz relieved the start and allowed two inherited runners to score before issuing a three-run shot to Stefan Trosclair to cap off the 12-run frame.

The 12 runs were the most allowed in any inning in team history, topping the previous mark of seven, which was set three times during the team's inaugural campaign in 2017.

Jared James (1x4, 2 R, RBI, BB) got the home team on the board in the third with a bloop single to left, scoring Marcus Mooney (1x3, R, 2B, BB) from second. Braxton Davidson (2x3, 3 R, 2 HR, 4 RBI 2 BB) blasted a 394 ft. bomb to right for his first long ball of the day to finish of the three-run inning.

Kurt Hoekstra (3x4, R, HR, 2 RBI) lifted a two-run bomb out to right in the fourth to pull Florida (15-27, 44-64) within seven.

The scoring continued in the fifth with an RBI double to the wall in right-center off the bat of William Contreras (2x3, 2B, RBI), driving home Davidson on the play.

Davidson delivered again with a two-run missile to right in the seventh for his second multi-homer game of the year. Lucas Herbert (1x1, R, HR, 2 RBI, BB) with a solo jack to left to pull the Fire Frogs within three.

Palm Beach (22-23, 61-48) responded with three runs in the eighth against Hoekstra - who started the day as the designated hitter and ended the contest as the third baseman - and added a run in the ninth off of Mooney - who started as the second baseman.

Herbert worked a bases-loaded free pass against Austin Sexton in the eighth to bring the home team within 15-10.

Ian Oxnevad (5-6) earned the win for the Cardinals with six runs allowed on eight hits, two walks and three strikeouts over five innings.

Florida will welcome in the Fort Myers Miracle for game one of a four-game series beginning Thursday night. LHP Tucker Davidson (6-9, 4.72) will look to play the role of "stopper" for the Fire Frogs against the Miracle's RHP Brusdar Graterol (3-2, 4.22). First pitch is scheduled for 6:31 p.m., with coverage beginning at 6:15 p.m. with the Florida Fire Frogs Pre-game Show on the Florida Fire Frogs Broadcasting Network.

The Florida Fire Frogs turn back the clock on Thursday night, as they change into the Kissimmee Cobras! The club will wear the old school jerseys to celebrate the previous tenants at Osceola County Stadium.

Thursday marks the return of Free Beer Thursday at the ballpark, where fans, 21-and-older, can receive free beer until the Miracle score!
