
Stockton's Double-Double Not Enough to Hold off LA

El Segundo, Cali. ---- Despite David Stockton logging a double-double and the Bighorns out-shooting the Los Angeles D-Fenders from three-point range, the Bighorns fell 135-118 to the D-Fenders Saturday night at the Toyota Sports Center in El Segundo, CA.
Erick Green led the Bighorns netting 23 points and grabbing seven rebounds. Ricky Ledo notched 22 points, five rebounds and two assists as Sacramento Kings assignment player, Duje Dukan, tallied 18 points and seven rebounds. David Stockton recorded his third double-double of the season with 17 points and 13 assists.
Dukan led the Bighorns in the first quarter with eight points. Ledo added six points for the Bighorns in the quarter as Stockton notched five points and four assists. The Bighorns went 6-15 from three point range in the quarter compared to the D-Fenders going 0-3 from behind the arc.
During the second quarter, Dukan had nine points and four rebounds during as Chad Toppert scored six points. Green and Ledo netted three points each in the second.
The Bighorn went into the locker room at the half leading the D-Fenders 59-55. The Bighorns shot 41 percent from three-point range in the first half compared to the D-Fenders shooting 12 percent from behind the arc.
In the third quarter, Stockton paced the Bighorns with six points and three assists. Ledo totaled six points and two rebounds in the quarter while Green tallied five points.
Green led the Bighorns in the final quarter, scoring 11 points. Ledo counted seven points in the third while Stockton added four points and four assists for the Bighorns. Kadeem Jack notched four points in the quarter as Reggie Hearn and Cliff Hammonds scored three points each.
The Bighorns return to the Reno Events Center on Tuesday, Feb. 23 to host the Erie Bayhawks at 11 a.m.
