The Heat look to complete a weekend sweep of the Iowa Wild, following a 5-3 victory Friday at Stockton Arena. Buddy Robinson led the way with four points on the night while the special teams also shined, Stockton capitalizing with a pair of power play goals and the penalty kill going a perfect 6-for-6 on the night.

The Heat have registered at least a point in all three meetings with Iowa this season, winning two and taking the Wild to overtime in the first game between the clubs this season.

Buddy Robinson recorded a season-high four points in Friday's win over the Wild, including his first multi-goal game of the season as well as a pair of assists. Robinson factored in each of Stockton's first three goals and added a helper on Tyler Graovac's empty-netter to seal the deal. In three games against the Wild, Robinson now has eight points (3g,5a).

Tyler Graovac has set a new career-best for goals in a season, his empty net goal to clinch the win against Iowa his 22nd of the year. The 22 goals pushes him ahead of his previous best of 21, set in the 2014-15 season while he was playing for Iowa. The forward has stepped his game up to another level against his former club, having registered seven points (5g,2a) in three games against Iowa.

Stockton held Iowa scoreless on six power plays in Friday's contest, including a lengthy 5-on-3 advantage in the first period. In three games against the Wild, the Heat have limited Iowa to 4-for-22 on the power play, below the club's season average, while also capitalizing on three shorthanded goals.

Jon Gillies was exceptional once again between the pipes for Stockton on Friday, stopping 38 of 41 shots faced while helping steady the penalty kill against Iowa's dangerous power play unit. The 38 stops was a season-best for Gillies in a winning effort. The netminder has gotten the starting nod in 12-straight games for the Heat while providing consistently-strong play throughout the recent stretch with a .917 SVP and a record of 7-4-1-0. In his last seven wins, Gillies has stopped 231 of 248 shots faced (.931 SVP) while allowing more than two goals just twice.

The Heat announced a trio of ATO signings from the collegiate ranks on Friday and Saturday, Mason Morelli, Corey Schueneman and Sebastian Vidmar. Morelli, who made his Stockton debut on Friday, completed his career at Nebraska-Omaha and captained the Mavericks while posting a team-best 34 points (19g,15a) in 36 games this season. Schueneman, who wore the C for Western Michigan, is a defenseman who recorded 21 points (3g,18a) and a plus-11 rating in 37 games this year. Vidmar, a forward out of Union College, completed an impressive collegiate career with 103 points (40g,63a) with a plus-18 rating in 137 games.
