Stinson's Double-Double Leads Energy Past Sioux Falls 130-107

DES MOINES, IA - Energy star Curtis Stinson scored 19 points and handed out 16 assists as the Iowa Energy rolled to a 130-107 victory over the Sioux Falls Skyforce Friday night.

Iowa used another fast start, darting out to a 30-21 1st quarter lead to take early control of the game. The Energy extended the lead to 64-54 at halftime as Othyus Jeffers scored 13 points before the break.

Sioux Falls narrowed the gap in the 3rd quarter, as a Raymond Sykes layup with 5:51 left in the quarter cut Iowa's lead to 76-72. The Energy responded with a 10-2 run to extend the lead to 12 points, and cruised to their league-best 27th win of the season.

The Energy shot 52.6% from the field, including 11 of 27 from 3-point land on the night. Iowa outrebounded Sioux Falls 47 to 39.

Jeffers led Iowa with 21 points, while Michael Haynes added 20 in the win.

Raymond Sykes and Maureece Rice each scored 24 points for the Skyforce, who fall to 6-27 on the season.

The win maintains the Energy's 1.5 game lead over the Erie BayHawks in the NBA D-League Eastern Conference. Iowa has now been in 1st place in their division for 137 consecutive games.

The Energy leave for a four game road-trip that includes games at Erie on Sunday and Tuesday. After those games, Iowa will travels to Springfield and Maine before returning home on Sunday, March 6th for Faith and Family Night presented by Goalsetter Systems. Faith-based star Aaron Shust will perform in concert after the Energy game.
