South Carolina Stingrays News Release

NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, alongside Trident Health, unveiled the 10th Annual Pink in the Rink jersey today at Trident Medical Center. The special jerseys will be worn as part of the 10th Annual Pink in the Rink presented by Trident Heath benefiting Share Our Suzy on Saturday, March 5th at 7:05 p.m. at the North Charleston Coliseum.

A online photo album of the jerseys is available HERE.

The special pink-accented uniforms feature a personal touch and tribute to the many women of the Lowcountry who are breast cancer survivors. The jersey, navy blue in color, features highlights of pink and gray. In the gray striping on the bottom of the jersey and on the sleeves, names of over 50 women appear who have fought and survived breast cancer. The names are to honor those women who have battled, and to remind everyone just how

personal and close to home breast cancer can hit.

Other features of the jersey:

-The Stingrays primary logo on the crest, dressed in pink and navy with gray accents to help honor the occasion

-The base color of the jersey is a navy blue, sticking with the Stingrays main color pallet while highlighting the pink accents on the sleeves, in the striping and on the shoulders

-The large pink ribbon on the bottom of the sleeves of the jersey is a sign of support for all women who have been, or who are being, treated for breast cancer, as well as a way to honor those we have lost

-The Trident logo on the chest of the jersey highlights the Stingrays presenting partner

-The Share Our Suzy logo on the shoulders of the jersey features the local non-profit who benefits from the postgame jersey auction at Pink in the Rink

-The names in gray on the jersey provide a personal touch and celebrate the survival of so many women treated here in the Lowcountry

The Stingrays will wear these jerseys, skate on pink ice and host a postgame jersey auction at Pink in the Rink on March 5. In the nine-year history of the event, the Stingrays have donated over $224,000 to fight breast cancer. The beneficiary of the donation, Share Our Suzy, is a Charleston-based non-profit organization, allows patients to focus on recovery and not financial stress, and aims to enhance the quality of life for breast cancer patients in South Carolina.
