Stop Sign
Last Saturday's 5-3 loss to Cincinnati ended the Mallards' three-game winning streak.
Race
The Mallards are in tenth place in the Western Conference, one point behind the Colorado Eagles and Indy Fuel, who are tied for the eighth and final playoff spot.
Splitsville
The Mallards and Cyclones split a pair of games last weekend. The Mallards moved into third place in the Midwest Division and seventh place in the Western Conference after defeating the Cyclones last Friday; last Saturday's loss dropped the Mallards back to fourth in the division and tenth in the conference.
Home Sweet Home
The Mallards are in the midst of a seven-game homestand- their longest of the season. Last Saturday's loss ended the Mallards' three-game home winning streak.
On the Road
Last Tuesday's shootout win at Wichita ended a run of four straight road games (2-2-0) and a stretch during which the Mallards played nine of 11 games away from home.
Red Light District
The Mallards last Saturday set a team season high by scoring all six of their goals at even strength and matched a team season high for largest margin of victory.
Shooting Gallery
The Mallards set a team season high by taking 43 shots last Tuesday at Wichita. They matched a club season low by allowing only two Cincinnati shots in the first period last Friday.
Between the Pipes
Brody Hoffman has made seven straight starts in goal and has appeared in 13 of the Mallards' last 15 games. Last Saturday's loss halted Hoffman's three-game winning streak.
Four Score
Kyle Follmer scored four goals in the Mallards' three games last week and also scored the shootout game winner last Tuesday in Wichita.
Leader of the Pack
Matt Carey leads the Mallards in goals (15) and has produced 14 points (seven goals and seven assists) in his last 11 games.
O from D
Three of the Mallards' top six point producers- Mike Monfredo (29), Guillaume Gelinas (27) and Austin Coldwell (23)- are defensemen. Monfredo, who posted a team season best plus/minus rating of +4 last Friday against Cincinnati, is tied for fourth among ECHL defensemen in assists and tied for ninth among defensemen in points (29). Gelinas recorded seven points (three goals and four assists) in his last seven games before being recalled by the American Hockey League's Iowa Wild last Saturday.
Rook
Matt Neal, who has picked up four assists in his last four games, not only leads the Mallards in points (34) but also ranks tenth among ECHL rookies in point-scoring.
Special Teams
The Mallards have given up six goals on their opponents' last 11 power plays. They now rank fourteenth in the ECHL in penalty killing (84.4) and are tied for thirteenth on the power play (17.1 percent).
Head to Head
The Mallards and Rush close out their six-game season series this weekend. The Mallards have gone 3-1-0 against Rapid City this season. The Mallards swept their prior two home games with the Rush February 3 and February 5. They have gone 24-12-3 all-time against Rapid City and have posted a 14-4-1 home record against the Rush.
Milestones
Darren McMillan played his three hundred ninety-fourth game for the Mallards last Saturday against Cincinnati to move into third place in team history...Mike Monfredo played his two hundred fifty-second game for the Mallards last Friday against Cincinnati to move into the tenth place in team history.
Ins and Outs
Jared Knight was recalled by Iowa (AHL) today after being assigned to the Mallards last Wednesday...Guillaume Gelinas was recalled by Iowa (AHL) last Saturday...Cody Beach was reassigned from the Mallards to Chicago (AHL) by St. Louis (NHL) yesterday after being assigned to the Mallards last Friday and playing his first two games for the team last Friday and Saturday against Cincinnati...Brody Hoffman was assigned to the Mallards last Friday after being recalled by Iowa (AHL) last Thursday... Zach Pochiro (upper body) was activated from 21-day injured reserve last Friday and returned to the lineup last Friday night against Cincinnati after missing the Mallards' prior 20 games...Tanner Eberle (upper body) was placed on 21-day injured reserved last Friday retroactive to February 5. He has missed six games...Olivier Archambault (upper body) has missed the Mallards' last 14 games.

Mallards fans are asked to lend a hand during the month-long challenge by bringing a non-perishable food item to any of the team's February home games. Donations can be made at the R.I.A. table located on the main concourse behind sections 108 and 109. For each item donated R.I.A. will enter the donor's name in a drawing for an iPad mini.

Fox Sports Radio 1230 is the radio home of Mallards Hockey Presented by Genesis Power Sports Performance. Mallards games broadcast on AM 1230 also stream live online at www.wfxn.net. A limited number of Mallards games will not air on Fox Sports Radio 1230 due to conflicts with University of Illinois basketball and football and Green Bay Packer football. The box office is open weekdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., on Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and on game days from 10:00 a.m. until the start of the second period.
