
Stingrays Return to the Radio for 2010-11 Season

North Charleston, SC - The South Carolina Stingrays along with Kirkman Broadcasting announced an agreement today to bring Stingrays hockey to the radio for the 2010-11 season.
The Stingrays and Kirkman Broadcasting will air all 72 regular season and playoff games on the Charleston Sports Radio network that includes ESPN 910, Fox Sports Radio 1450 and AM 950 The Zone.
"We are excited to bring hockey back on the airwaves in the Lowcountry," said Stingrays President Rob Concannon. "It is going to be a great season and I am happy we can share the excitement with our fans."
Kirkman Broadcasting has been in operation for over 25 years and home to the Stingrays for 16 seasons.
"We look forward to having the Stingrays as a part of our broadcast family," said Gil Kirkman. "The Stingrays are a valuable asset to Kirkman Broadcasting and we are happy to share that with the Charleston area."
ESPN 910, Fox Sports Radio 1450 and AM 950 The Zone all generate signals that can be heard throughout the Charleston area.
Joseph Zakrzewski returns for his second season as the "The Voice of the Stingrays," handling radio and internet broadcasts for all Stingrays home, away and Kelly Cup playoff contests. Andrew Miller of The Post and Courier enters into his eighth season as color commentator for Stingrays home games.
The Stingrays drop the puck on their 18th season of hockey in the Low Country on Friday, October 22 against the Gwinnett Gladiators at 7:35 p.m. at the Arena at Gwinnett Center. Opening Weekend is set for Friday, November 5, Saturday, November 6 and Sunday, November 7 against the Florida Everblades at 7:05 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. at North Charleston Coliseum.
