Stingrays Acquire Forward Ryan Hayes from Trenton

North Charleston, S.C. - The South Carolina Stingrays, celebrating 20 seasons of hockey in the Lowcountry and proud ECHL affiliate of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), announced today that the team has acquired forward Ryan Hayes from the Trenton Titans in exchange for future considerations.

Hayes, 23, skated in 12 games with the Titans this season scoring three goals and three assists for six points. Currently in his third professional season, all in the ECHL, the Syracuse, New York, native appeared in 141 contests with the Titans, Trenton Devils and Greenville Road Warriors totaling 104 points (47 goals, 57 assists). Prior to turning pro, Hayes dressed in three seasons of junior hockey with the Plymouth Whalers of the Ontario Hockey League adding 102 points (52 goals, 50 assists) in 132 games.

The Stingrays continue a four-game road trip Thursday, December 27 at 7:05 p.m. against the Gwinnet Gladiators at The Arena at Gwinnett Center and return to the North Charleston Coliseum on Saturday, December 29 at 7:05 p.m. to host the Wheeling Nailers.
