The Jackals are facing the Cyclones tonight for the third of four meetings this season and first of two at U.S. Bank Arena. The Jackals are 1-1-0 against the Cyclones this season and are the only North Division team the Jackals have faced to this point. The Jackals were 1-0-0 at U.S. Bank Arena in 11-12 and have a 6-5-2 record in their history here. The Cyclones enter tonight's game on a three-game winning streak and averaging four goals per game over the streak. The Cyclones are 11-5-0 on home ice this season and are tied for the third-most home wins in the ECHL. Cincinnati has the second-best defense in the league at 2.63 goals against per game.

As a rookie last season, Artem Demkov endured a 20-game goal drought but still finished with 20. This season he has found a new level of consistency and is now three away from matching his rookie total. With a goal last Saturday in Wheeling, Demkov extended his goal scoring streak to five games. It is the longest streak of Demkov's career and the longest this season by a Jackal. His six goals during the streak have moved Demkov to a tie with Colorado's Michael Forney for third-most goals in the league with 17. He is also tied for second-most power play goals with seven and third-most game winning goals with four.
