Willmar Stingers News Release

GREEN BAY, WIS. - Sunday's game between the Willmar Stingers and Green Bay Bull Frogs has been suspended due to rainfall that rendered the field unplayable. The game will resume Tuesday night with the Stingers set to bat in the top of the 9th inning and the game tied 8-8.

The Stingers fought their way back into the game after a slow start as Green Bay bolted out to an 8-1 lead, but a six-run 8th inning tied the game. Colton Bottomley (Florida Gulf Coast) knocked a bases-clearing double the gap in left-center to cap the remarkable comeback.

Next the Stingers will have several players featured in the Northwoods League "Big League Dreams" showcase in Madison before returning to action against the Bull Frogs on Tuesday night. The suspended game will be concluded, followed by the scheduled nine-inning contest.

The 2013 season is presented by Charter. For more on your Willmar Stingers please visit the West Central Tribune at www.wctrib.com.
