(SARNIA, ON) Charles Sarault and Nikolay Goldobin paced the attack with a combined nine points, as the Sting outlasted the Spitfires in an 8-5 win in front of 3,210 at the RBC Centre on Friday night.

Sarault had two goals and three assists, while Goldobin chipped in two goals and two helpers, as Sarnia (22-13-0-3) sent Windsor (14-19-1-5) to its seventh straight loss.

Ben Johnson (8, 9) and Nick Ebert (5, 6) each had a pair of goals for the Spitfires, while Patrick Sanvido was credited with his first OHL goal.

Ryan Verbeek and Brady Vail each had two assists.

The Sting exploded for a trio of goals (Taki Pantziris, Bryan Moore, Sarault) in a 1:50 span late in the first period, turning a 1-0 lead into a 4-0 advantage after 20 minutes and leaving the Spitfires to scramble from behind for the rest of the night.

Ebert's goals came at 2:48 and 8:57 of the third period - cutting the Sarnia lead to 5-4 and 6-5. But the Spits couldn't find the tying goal, as the Sting replied within two minutes each time.

Jordan DeKort made 11 saves in the first period before giving way to Jaroslav Pavelka (18 saves).

JP Anderson started for the Sting and stopped all 10 pucks he faced in the opening 20 minutes, before he left with a hip injury. Knick Dawe made 28 saves over the final 40 minutes in the win.
