Niagara IceDogs News Release
Niagara IceDogs Head Coach and General Manager Marty Williamson announced today that the IceDogs have acquired forward Jordan Maletta from the Windsor Spitfires in exchange for a conditional 2nd round pick in 2014 and a conditional 6th round pick in 2016.
A St. Catharines native, Maletta was the Spitfires first round selection in the 2011 OHL Priority Selection, 13th overall. In 93 career regular season games with Windsor, Maletta has 9 goals and 23 assists for 32 points, along with a goal and an assist in four career playoff games.
A 6'3", 215 lbs. right winger, Maletta will have at least one familiar face in the room, having been captain of the St. Catharines Falcons in his minor midget year, when he played with IceDogs defenceman Broderick Kelly.
The entire IceDogs organization would like to welcome Jordan to the team and everyone looks forward to seeing him in an IceDogs uniform soon!
