Sarnia Sting News Release
Sarnia, ON. - Sarnia Sting General Manager Dylan Seca announced this afternoon that the Hockey Club has acquired 19-year-old left-shooting defenceman Ethan Ritchie from the Kingston Frontenacs in exchange for a conditional 7th round pick in the 2021 Ontario Hockey League Priority Selection. If Ritchie plays as an overager the pick will move up to the 6th round.
On acquiring the defenceman, Seca comments:
"The addition of Ethan helps provide both leadership and a continued push towards doing the right things both on and off the ice. He is a puck moving defenseman who will push our group to be their best each day. We welcome Ethan and his family to Sting Nation".
The Oakville, Ontario Native, who was originally selected by the Erie Otters in the 2018 OHL priority selection, has recorded 3 goals, 6 assists and a +6 rating through 46 OHL career games with the Frontenacs.
