Spirit Acquire Defenseman Brayden Hislop from Owen Sound

Saginaw, MI - Saginaw Spirit General Manager Dave Drinkill announced a trade today with the Owen Sound Attack acquiring the rights to 18-year-old defenseman Brayden Hislop in exchange for Saginaw's ninth round pick in 2022.

Following the completion of the trade, the Spirit signed defenseman Brayden Hislop to a Standard Player Agreement.

The St. Clements, Ontario native has spent the last two seasons in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (Jr. B), most recently playing for the Elmira Sugar Kings. The six-foot-one, 174-pound rearguard has put up impressive offensive numbers this season, scoring 18 points (1G-17A) in 17 games this season.

Hislop was selected by the Attack in the ninth round, 166th overall, in the 2019 OHL Priority Selection Draft.
