
Stegall named Offensive Player of the Week

WINNIPEG, MB - An electrifying performance in last week's thrilling, last-second win has earned Winnipeg Blue Bombers slotback Milt Stegall the Rogers CFL Offensive Player of the Week Award for Week Six of the CFL season.
Stegall scorched the Edmonton Eskimos defence for 254 yards on 10 catches, including a 100-yard, game-winning touchdown with no time remaining in the game for a 25-22 Bomber win.
Stegall currently leads the CFL in receiving yards with 694 on the season. He is also among the league leaders in average gain per catch (17.8), TD receptions (four) and combined yards (714).
Two other Bombers were also singled out for their play in last week's win. Defensive lineman Ron Warner and offensive lineman Mike Abou-Mechrek were finalists for the Rogers CFL Lineman of the Week Award.
