MISSISSAUGA, ON   - As the Steelheads head into one of their most important weekends of the season, Steelheads Simulated is predicting a great outcome in both games!

 

First up for the Trout is the team directly ahead of them in the Eastern Conference standings, the Peterborough Petes. Thank to some "surprising" offensive contributions by Brandon Belding and Nick Zottl, the Trout came out on top to hack away at the margin between sixth and seventh place in the conference.

 

Sunday afternoon's visit from the Niagara IceDogs started out looking like the defensive matchup that dominated their last meeting this season. Two power play goals in the second period, however, were more than enough for the Trout as they added a third period empty netter in a 3-0 shutout victory over their Central Division rivals. Bryson Cianfrone was the star in this game, picking up points on each goal.
