Steelheads sign defenseman

BOISE, Idaho -The Idaho Steelheads announced today that they have added defenseman Kyle Peto to the roster. Peto is dressed and playing in the second of a three-game home stand against Phoenix tonight at Qwest Arena.

The 6-0, 195-pound Peto comes to Idaho after starting this season with the Finnish Elite League's KalPa Kuopio. Prior to going pro, the 24-year-old played at Minnesota State University-Mankato where he compiled 78 points (14g-64a), and 151 penalty minutes over his four-year collegiate career.

Steelheads head coach Derek Laxdal expects the Lethbridge, Alberta native to be a "high end ECHL player."
