Brampton Steelheads News Release
The Steelheads took advantage of the shorthanded Hamilton Bulldogs squad with a convincing 4-1 win.
First Period
The Steelheads looked to get back on the winning track as they squared off with the Hamilton Bulldogs. In the first period, the Bulldogs capitalised on a Steelheads defensive miscue as Logan Morrison scored at the 50 second mark.
Hamilton looked to extend their lead as the period went on, but the Steelheads netminder, Joe Ranger, kept the door shut as he saved nine of ten Bulldogs shots, including an excellent save on Jonathan Melee at the 7:35 mark.
The Steelheads capitalised on the man advantage at the 16:08 mark as James Hardie shot a rocket past Bulldogs netminder Marco Costantini for his 17th goal of the season to even the score at one apiece. Ethan Del Mastro and Owen Beck received the assists.

Third Period
In the final frame, the Steelheads continued to push the tempo, stiffing the Bulldogs throughout the period with timely saves by Ranger, strong defense, and a top-notch penalty kill.
At the 4:38 mark of the period, the Steelheads put the game out of reach as Chas Sharpe shot point blank through heavy traffic, beating Costantini for a 4-1 Steelheads lead. Sharpe's third goal of the season came on the assist of Zander Veccia and Lavoie.
With the Bulldogs' extra-attacker for most of the final six minutes, the Steelheads' defence locked down the Bulldogs' offence. Alongside Ranger's strong goaltending and timely forechecking, the Steelheads shut the door and secured the win.
