Dogs Rally for OT Win

Today, the Niagara IceDogs hit the road for a 3-game week! The first of which kicked off in North Bay.

Rodwin Dionicio got the Dogs on the board quick, scoring 3 minutes into the game. However, the Battalion were able to return it on their power play. North Bay also tallied a second on their second power play of the game. But, 16 seconds later Danil Gushchin ties it all up once again!

After 20 minutes of play, the score sat at 2-2.

The action continued into the second. Jake Uberti tipped in a goal on the Dogs power play. But, North Bay was able to tally 2 more as they slid into the lead.

After 40 minutes, it was 4-3 Battalion.

The third period was goal for goal. Dylan Roobroeck got his first OHL career goal, Uberti tallied his second of the night and Leonard got the Dogs 6th goal.

After a crazy third period, the game was tied at 6-6 and headed into overtime.

22 seconds into overtime Dakota Betts scored, giving the Dogs an incredible 7-6 overtime win! Thanks to a great all-around effort Joey Costanzo gets his first OHL win in goal tonight.
