Brampton Steelheads News Release
The Steelheads came alive in the third but were unable to comeback from the damage the Frontenacs created in the first, leaving the Frontenacs to win 5-3.
First Period
For their annual Teddy Bear Toss game, the Steelheads looked to get ahead early in the first after a tough 5-4 loss against the Frontenacs on Nov. 28th.
However, the Frontenacs came on the ice strong and managed to get past Steelheads' Roman Basran at the 1:25 mark to get on the board first. Kingston's Jordan Frasca scored the goal from Edmonds and Murray.
The Frontenacs put up another goal on the board at the 7:47 mark scored by Jordan Frasca from Edmonds. Kingston extended their lead to three less than two minutes after, as Frontenacs' Lucas Edmonds scored a powerplay goal. After two early goals within the first, the Steelheads pulled Basran and placed Joe Ranger in the net.
Kingston received another power play later in the first, where the Frontenacs took advantage and put the puck past Ranger at the 17:49 mark goal scored by Jordan Frasca.
Steelheads Ty Collins extended the Frontenacs powerplay, and within a minute, Frasca received a hat-trick as he scored the Frontenacs' fifth goal of the game.

Second Period
The Steelheads put the pressure on as they tried to come back strong. Ranger made some crucial saves within the first half of the second, giving the Steelheads room to get on the board, yet despite having multiple shots on net, they could not get the job done.
Although, the Steelheads were able to hold off the Frontenacs from doing any more damage to the scoreboard this period.

After the teddy bear clean-up crew cleared the ice, the Steelheads tempo began to increase. Zakary Lavoie scored his sixth goal of the season on the power play at the 2:06 mark with assists made by Charlie Callaghan and Chas Sharpe.
The Steelheads maintained their buzz as Zander Veccia put the puck past the Frontenacs' Leevi Meriläinen at the 17:03 mark, leaving the Steelheads with only a two-goal gap from tying the game.
The Steelheads continued to dominate the rest of the period; however, they were unable to secure the win in the last few minutes of the game.
