Statement from Toronto FC President Bill Manning Regarding MLS Is Back
Published on June 10, 2020 under Major League Soccer (MLS)
Toronto FC News Release
"Toronto FC is excited to be returning to the field and competing in the MLS Is Back Tournament in Orlando. While we know nothing can match the experience of attending a game at BMO Field or on the road, we believe this month-long competition is going to make for some compelling viewing for soccer fans. I know our players and coaches are excited to get back to what they love the most and will be playing to win the tournament and earn a spot in next year's Concacaf Champions League. Obviously, we are facing a unique set of challenges as we return to play, but we are confident that the league has put together a plan that's made safety the No. 1 priority."
