Although they lost, the Spikes still assured themselves of a .500 road trip, winning three of the six games against Jamestown and Mahoning Valley.

Amaro has gone five innings in each of his last two starts after going four innings in his two starts prior to those. The right-hander is allowing lefties just a .243 batting average, and just a .227 average to the leadoff hitter.

-TONIGHT'S SCRAPPERS STARTER: Eddie Burns makes his second start of the year for Mahoning Valley tonight. The 6'8" right-hander out of Georgia Tech went two innings in his first start against Batavia five nights ago, allowing no runs on one hit and striking out two. Burns was drafted in the 39th round this year by the Cleveland Indians, and went 7-5 with a 5.84 ERA this spring for the Yellow Jackets.
