YAKIMA, Wash. - With extreme temperatures in the forecast next weekend, the Pippins have changed the start time of their game on Sunday, June 28 from 5:05 pm to 7:05 pm.
The change was made in an attempt to create safer conditions, for players, coaches, umpires and spectators at the ballpark.
"It will still be hot at 7:05, but temperatures won't be nearly as extreme at that hour," said Pippins President Zachary Fraswer. "We feel that starting later is the best decision to ensure the comfort and safety of all involved in Sunday's game."
