
Stars to Host Wolves Twice this Week

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars, the NBA G League affiliate of the Utah Jazz, will host two home games this week against the Iowa Wolves (Minnesota Timberwolves affiliate) on Monday, Feb. 28 and Wednesday, March 2. Both games will be played at Bruin Arena at Salt Lake Community College and are scheduled for 7 p.m. MT start times (doors open at 6 p.m.).
Monday night's matchup against the Wolves, presented by Nu Skin, will be Teacher/Educator Appreciation Night, where the Stars will recognize and honor local teachers and educators for their dedication and service to the Wasatch Front community.
The game also marks the final "Stars Family Night" of the season - for every Monday home game, a four-pack of tickets can be purchased for $20 for the best available seats (excluding VIP and Courtside Club) and hot dogs are just $2.
Wednesday night's game, sponsored by AT&T SportsNet, will mark the third consecutive meeting between the Stars and Wolves and will bookend the 2021-22 season series between the two Western Conference foes.
The Stars are being led by Carsen Edwards, who comes into Monday night's matchup leading the Stars in scoring with 24.3 points a contest, good for seventh in the NBA G League. Over his last five games, Edwards has averaged 25.4 points, 4.6 assists and 1.2 steals a contest. Edwards has scored 30 points or more in two of his last three games, including a 34-point showing against the Iowa Wolves in Des Moines on Feb. 23.
Former BYU star Yoeli Childs has been a massive presence for the Stars as of late, Childs owns averages of 19.6 points and 12.1 rebounds a game while shooting 64.0 percent from the floor for the month of February. Overall, Childs currently ranks seventh in the league with 10.4 rebounds per game and eighth in the league in field goal percentage at 62.5 percent from the floor.
The Stars will look to protect their home court against the Wolves this week before departing on a six-game road trip following Wednesday night's matchup.
