
Stars Set Fire to Ignite in Their Biggest Win of the Season

SALT LAKE CITY - The Salt Lake City Stars claim a second straight victory against the G League Ignite 121-90 in their biggest win of the season.
Six players scored in double figures for the Stars, led by center Paris Bass' 22 points (8-of-16 FG), four rebounds and four assists in 32 minutes of action. Jeenathan Williams filled the stat sheet with 19 points off the bench, while another reserve, Darryl Morsell, added 16 points and six rebounds to the team's total. The Stars bench was hot with Rawle Alkins scoring a double-double with 13 points paired with 11 assists. Jazz two-way player Micah Potter (15 points and 9 rebounds) and Isaiah Miller (15 points) also scored in double figures for the Stars.
Ignite was paced by Cameron Young who tallied a game-high 28 points on 9-of-16 shooting from the field. Young came out strong in the first quarter netting 75 percent of shots taken from the field, scoring in double figures of 14 to close out the first period. Ignite's remaining double-digit earners included guard Leonard Miller with 14 points, and forward Mojave King with 11 points.
Salt Lake City started the game on an 6-0 run and led by as many as 9 points (25-16) with 1:23 left to play in the opening quarter. The Stars scorched the court to end the first half 67-46 leading 21 points as they netted 70 percent (14-20) of shots from the field and 50 percent (3-6) from downtown. Ignite continued to fall as Salt Lake City pushed their lead to a high 35 points with 2:01 left to play in the first half, before closing the frame with an impressive 90-60 lead.
Despite the winter storm that raged outside the Maverik Center, the Stars turned up the heat to maximum in the final stretch of the night, outscoring Ignite 121-90 to claim a second straight victory on their homecourt.
The Stars held the advantage in bench points (55-29), rebounds (45-35), steals (11-7), and fast break points (28-2), while the Ignite bodied more offensive rebounds (9-8) and tallied more free-throws (15-10).
The Stars will travel to Los Angeles where they will face the South Bay Lakers, as they enter their second game on a back-to-back, November 29, at 8 p.m. M.T.
