GREAT GARZA: Minnesota Timberwolves two-way player Luka Garza was named the NBA G League Player of the Week for games played Monday, Nov. 21 through Sunday, Nov. 27. Garza averaged 29.0 points, 11.0 rebounds,3.5 assists and 2.0 blocks in two games for the Iowa Wolves.
Garza, who was named the 2021 Naismith Player of the Year during his senior year at the University of Iowa, currently ranks second in scoring (27.3) and ranks among the league leaders in three-point shooting percentage (55.2). Garza and the Wolves visit the Motor City Cruise on Friday, Dec. 2 at 11 a.m. ET on NBAGLeague.com.
CHIOZZA AND THE NETS: The Long Island Nets notched three victories last week, extending their winning streak to five games and moving them to 5-5, putting them towards the top of the East Region standings and in the hunt to qualify for the Showcase Cup tournament. Last week, guard Chris Chiozza averaged 15.3 points, 14.0 assists and 7.7 rebounds, highlighted by a near triple-double (21 points, 19 assists, nine rebounds) in a 132-128 overtime victory against the Raptors 905 on Nov. 21.
EIGHT FOR ONTARIO: Ontario Clippers continued their impressive start to the season and improved to 8-2. The team is led by LA Clippers two-way center Moussa Diabate (18.2 ppg, 10.2 rpg) and forward Nate Darling (20.0 ppg, 4.3 rpg).
The Clippers return to action tomorrow when they host the Oklahoma City Blue at 10 p.m. ET on ESPN+.
LA Clippers center Ivica Zubac opened eyes across the basketball community with 31 points, 29 rebounds and three blocks in a 114-110 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 27. This marked the fourth time a player has recorded 30 points and at least 25 rebounds in the last 10 years - Anthony Davis (1/2/19), Dwight Howard (3/21/18, 1/18/16) and LaMarcus Aldridge (12/12/13). The 7-0 center from Serbia also currently leads the NBA in total rebounds (244) and ranks fourth in total blocked shots (39). Zubac spent parts of two seasons in the G League, appearing in 28 games for the South Bay Lakers (18.8 ppg, 9.4 rpg).
On Nov. 22, Dallas Mavericks assignee Jaden Hardy scored 35 points for the Texas Legends in 122-120 victory over the Lakeland Magic. Across his last four games, Har- dy has shot 53.7 percent on 10.3 attempts per game from three-point range.
Los Angeles Lakers two-way player Scotty Pippen Jr. add- ed 36 points, six assists and three steals for the South Bay Lakers in a 133-115 win over the Oklahoma City Blue on Nov. 23.
Sacramento Kings two-way player Neemias Queta regis- tered an impressive double-double of 38 points and 18 re- bounds to lead the Stockton Kings to their 110-103 come- from-behind victory over the Santa Cruz Warriors on Nov. 26.
Also on Nov. 26, Sioux Falls Skyforce guard Jamaree Bou- yea finished with his first career triple-double (27 points, 13 assists, 10 rebounds) in a 133-126 defeat to the Wis- consin Herd. Bouyea, a G League Elite Camp alum, is av- eraging 18.4 points, 7.9 rebounds and 6.5 assists for the season.
