Lincoln Stars News Release

Two active Stars players have appeared on the 2023-24 NHL Central Scouting Preliminary Players To Watch List, revealed on Wednesday morning. Defensemen Adam Kleber and Tanner Henricks both appeared as C-rated prospects, meaning that they project as fourth to fifth round selections in the 2024 NHL Draft.

Kleber, 17, is in his second season with the Stars and leads the teams' defensemen in goals (2). The Minnesota Duluth commit is one of just 21 defensemen in the USHL to score multiple times this season and both of his tallies have been game-winning goals, making him just the fifth player in franchise history since 2002 to achieve that feat for each of his first two USHL goals.

The Chaska, Minn. native has appeared in 64 games over the last two seasons with the Stars, including in 56 games with Lincoln a year ago as the youngest member of the team. He recorded 17 points (4+13) in 28 games at Chaska High School in 2021-22 in his only season of high-school hockey. Kleber represented the United States at the Hlinka Gretzky Cup in August and helped the Americans capture third place.

Henricks, 17, was one of Kleber's teammates on Team USA this past summer and recorded an assist in five games for the Americans. He is in his first season with the Stars and has appeared in seven of the first eight games of the season.

The St. Cloud State commit was nearly a point-a-game player with the Anaheim Jr. Ducks 16U AAA team last season as he posted 72 points (15+57) in 73 games. Henricks, a Mission Viejo, Calif. native, previously played at Shattuck St. Mary's for two seasons, including posting 36 points (8+28) in 61 games for their 15U AAA team in 2021-22.
