Stars Announce Upcoming Promotions

Huntsville, AL - The Huntsville Stars begin a five-game home stand on Saturday, June 29th, against the Chattanooga Lookouts (Los Angeles Dodgers). At the end of the series the Stars will have played 10 consecutive home games against the Lookouts. Here's what's on tap:

Saturday, June 29th at 6:43 PM - McDonald's Youth Sports Saturday, Homer's Birthday Party, Diabetes Awareness Night

Homer has invited all his friends - including the University of Alabama's Big Al - to help celebrate Homer's Birthday. Make sure you arrive early to cheer on Homer and his friends in a pre-game Wiffle ball game. Proceeds will benefit the National Children's Advocacy Center. The Stars will also be hosting Diabetes Awareness Night sponsored by Sanofi. Over 8% of Americans are living with Diabetes; this night is geared towards educating fans about the disease, prevention, and treatment. The game is also a

McDonald's Youth Sports Saturday; all kids 12 and under in sports or scouting uniform will be admitted free. During the game randomly selected fans will win classic television shows on DVD from Paramount and CBS. Enjoy favorites such as Gunsmoke, Rawhide, Bonanza, Perry Mason, Matlock, and Have Gun Will Travel. These DVDs are also available at Amazon and Wal-mart.

Monday, July 1st at 4:03 PM - Win-Win Night

If the Huntsville Stars win this game, all tickets may be redeemed for a general admission ticket to the next night's game (Tuesday,

July 2nd).

Tuesday, July 2nd at 6:43 PM - Dew for Tuesday

Fans may redeem Mountain Dew bottle caps for $2 parking and tickets. Once inside the stadium, peanuts, popcorn, hot dogs, 16- ounce draft beers, and fountain Pepsi products will be priced at $2.

Wednesday, July 3rd at 6:43 PM - Fireworks, Second Amendment Night

The Stars team up with one of the largest independent gun stores in the country, Larry's Pistol and Pawn to bring you the Stars inaugural "2nd Amendment Night." The night is geared towards educating fans about the 2nd Amendment. Fans who present a valid NRA Membership Card will receive FREE admission to the game. Plus, three lucky fans could win one of the largest selling firearms from RUGER. The guns include the RUGER American Rifle, RUGER 10/22 Takedown Rifle and the RUGER MK III 22LR Target Pistol.

The drawing takes place immediately after the game. Delivery of these special firearms is contingent upon successful background checks and state regulations. Winners - who must be at least 18 years of age - will receive certificates for the firearms. Rob Barnett,
