
Stars Acquire Kiecker-Olson from Des Moines

Lincoln Stars General Manager Nick Fabrizio has announced today the Stars have acquired forward Killian Kiecker-Olson from the Des Moines Buccaneers in exchange for forward Christian Kocsis.
"We would like to wish Christian the best in his future endeavors and thank him for his contributions," Fabrizio said.
Kiecker-Olson, 21, has scored 15 goals and added 13 assists in 37 games this season in Des Moines. The University of Maine commit has appeared in 84 USHL games, spending all but two with the Buccaneers after a brief stint with the Chicago Steel.
Before being taken by the Bucs in the 2020 USHL Entry Draft, the Stars selected Kiecker-Olson with the 95th overall pick in 2019. The Andover, MN native spent two seasons with the Chippewa Steel in the North American Hockey League before debuting in the USHL with Chicago on December 6th, 2019.
Kocsis, 17, registered eight points (five goals, three assists) in 45 games over the last two seasons in Lincoln. The Providence commit was selected 23rd overall in the 2020 USHL Futures Draft by the Stars.
