Madison Capitols News Release

The Madison Capitols made move just before last night's USHL trade deadline and acquired former Sioux Falls Stampede veteran blueliner, Brandon Chabrier. In return, the Caps sent defenseman Michael Quinn and a 2022 Phase 2 5th round draft pick to the Stampede.

A Maine University commit, Chabrier played in 119 games for the Stampede dating back to the 2019-20 campaign. The Bayville, New York native donned an A for the Stampede this season serving as an alternate captain.

Chabrier joins the Caps having played in all but four of the Stampede's 42 games this year. He has registered four goals and eight assists in 38 games played. The newly acquired Caps defender has set a career high in points this season to bring his career total to 27 points.

"We are very excited to bring Brandon to our team for the remainder of our season," Capitols head coach Tommy Upton said. "With being a captain in Sioux Falls, he will add to our leadership and help to continue building a winning culture here in Madison."

Chabrier reported to Madison today and is expected to suit up for the Capitols this weekend when they head to Youngstown for a two game series with the Phantoms.
