
Stanislav Galiev To Compete At CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game

TORONTO, ON - The Canadian Hockey League in association with Home Hardware Stores Limited today announced the rosters for the 2010 Home Hardware CHL/NHL Top Prospects Game. The game will take place at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, ON, beginning with a skills competition on Tuesday January 19 followed by the game on Wednesday January 20, 2010.
Saint John Sea Dogs import winger Stanislav Galiev was named to the roster for Team Cherry, a star-laden squad which also includes Canadian National Junior Team member Taylor Hall. For the full rosters of both Team Cherry and Team Orr, visit http://chl.ca/fullstory.php?id=1306.
Galiev, 17, leads all QMJHL freshmen in scoring with 38 points (10G-28A). The 6'1", 177 lb. forward was named the league's Rookie of the Month for November, and has been skating on the Sea Dogs' top offensive line for most of the season. Saint John originally selected Galiev with the #1 overall pick at the '09 CHL Import Draft.
Currently ranked first in the QMJHL with a record of 31-6-1-0, the Sea Dogs kick off their second-half schedule on Sunday, December 27 on the road versus the Acadie-Bathurst Titan (puck drop: 4pm). Saint John's next home game is scheduled to take place on Tuesday, December 29 at 7pm versus the P.E.I. Rocket.
