Trevor Parkes RDS Mid-Season Rookie For The Montreal Juniors

Montreal, December 21ST, 2009 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League announced last week the eighteen winners of the RDS mid-season rookie excellence awards. The award-winners were selected by each team's respective club. Trevor Parkes was elected for the Montreal Juniors. The 18 year-old right winger has registered 16 goals and 8 assists, totaling 24 points, so far this season in 35 games.

With his nomination, Parkes is eligible to win the RDS trophy as the QMJHL's top rookie. The winner will also receive a scholarship worth 1000$. The rookie of the year for the 2009-2010 season will be announced at the Golden Puck Award Gala on March 31st, 2010.
