Joël Bouchard acquires Montreal Juniors

Montreal, Wednesday, June 15, 2011 - Following the approval of the transaction by the members of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League, former National Hockey League player, colour commentator and businessman Joël Bouchard is happy to announce that he is among a group of investors which acquired the Montreal Juniors Hockey Club. Joël Bouchard is also proud to announce the relocation of the franchise to the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau to Boisbriand as soon as next season.

"To become part owner of a Quebec Major Junior Hockey League club is another opportunity for me to fulfil my passion for hockey. Our fundamental value as an organization will be to uphold the faith and responsibility that he parents put into our hands regarding the development of their sons as hockey players and as young adults. We will put in place the environment and the resources so that our organization is recognized as the best in major junior hockey," said Joël Bouchard.

Along with his background as a professional hockey player and colour commentator, Joël Bouchard is the founder of the Centre d'Excellence Sports Rousseau. He also founded the physical conditioning centre Performe+ as well as l'Académie Joël Bouchard which has welcomed over 10 000 youngster since its creation in 2006. Mr. Bouchard is the producer of the show l'Académie de hockey McDonald's.

Next week, the group will make a formal announcement at the Centre d'excellence Sports Rousseau in Boisbriand.
