Calgary Stampeders News Release

The Calgary Stampeders are pleased to announce the return of the team's Grey Cup Festival Fan Party. The party will feature a special live performance of The Tennessee 3 - the legendary sound behind Johnny Cash.

"We are so excited to be a part of the 2009 Grey Cup in Calgary," said Vicky Wootton, guitarist with The Tennessee 3. "Canada gave us our first chance when we started out and we are honoured to come and play at such a huge event. To us, it's like being given the entertainer of the year award."

The Stamps' fan party will take place on Saturday, Nov. 28 from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Molson Canadian Quick Six Saloon (Telus Convention Centre).

"We are very excited to introduce our own fan party at this year's Grey Cup," said Stamps president Scott Ackles. "This is something that Stamps fans have requested and something we plan on moving to all future Grey Cups in cities across Canada."

In addition to the The Tennessee 3, the event will feature performances by Canadian musicians Tim Hus and Sierra Noble. Former Stamps players and Ralph the Dog will be in attendance and the Stampeders Outriders will perform.

Tickets are available at the door for only $20. For more information, visit www.2009greycupfestival.com.

The fan party will become an annual event at all future Grey Cups, where Stamps fans will be able to gather and celebrate the Red and White.
